Georgia is getting unbelievable pass rush on Brennan because Hawaii has the most porous, seemingly, offensive line that I have ever seen. That is the difference in this game. Hawaii can't get enough time to get a pass off.
NO YOUR WRONG, play calling as everything to do with it, UGA has been able to outmatch them because of the UH offense. UH loves those 3 yard dink and dunk plays that might go the distance and UGA has pressured them nonstop but UH keeps running those plays. other than that, UGA has been giving UH the business since the opening Kick Off
Hawaii is playing football with the talent they have. If you're expecting them to be able to focus on the run (without a strong running game) or use QB mobility (something they also don't have) to make Georgia take focus off the pass rush, you've lost your mind. Jones can call all the plays in the playbook, but it's not going to make much difference. Georgia is hot and more talented than Hawaii.

ill let you rethink what you just wrote, screen passes take as much time, if not more to get set up than dropping back and throwing deep.
plus linemen let rushers go on screen plays (most of the time)

Well obviously, but that's by design. I know you are well aware of the difference between backing up and dumping a screen pass off vs. trying to throw deep in the same amount of time.

yes i know but there have been plays where CB had time, it just shows how good that UGA D is...that secondary has been phenominal

I agree, they are very good. All the more reason not to try to throw deep at them.

dose anyone think a loss will increase the likelihood of JJ leaving the island?

Just got off work and watched most of the game. JJ can not be judged by one game. Yes he is still the best out there. I haven't checked the SC/Ill. game but Ill. was certainly dominated by the Trojans. At least through 3 qtr.s. Does that mean No. 12. Ill. should be judged, or at least the coach should be judged by one game against SC? I hope SMU lands him. Should know soon.

So he loses to an SEC powerhouse with his 2 & 3 star players. Just goes to show how much of a miracle he has worked during his tenure at UH. I know his schedule isn't on the SEC or Big 12 level but this game doesn't diminish what he's accomplished.

UGA has some of the best cover corners in the game. That allows the rest of their defense to blitz and play the runs, shovel passes and screens.
For those fans who feel "cheated", a playoff would be a nice way to deal with the parity that exists now in college football. Imagine a playoff that included Georgia, Missouri, OU, VT, USC, Ohio State, Hawaii, and LSU. Now those games would have been worth watching. OSU would have gotten Hawaii, LSU vs. Mizzou, UGA vs. OU, and VT vs. USC. Imagine that final four. Perhaps UGA, USC, LSU and OSU. Would have been very interesting.
