We had a legitimate shot to win at least 5 more games this past season:

UTEP - led by 21 at half, and 14 in 4th quarter and lost in OT
Tulane - scored late to send it into OT and Willis fumbled in OT
Tulsa - lost on long TD pass in last minute of 4th quarter
Rice - lost on Field Goal in last play of game
Memphis - lost in 3rd OT on Field Goal

Good coaching could have proved the difference in those games. We even had an opportunity to make some hay in the Houston and TCU games, but couldn't seem to get the job done.

IMHO, better coaching this past season could have potentially gotten us to 6 or 7 wins. That and teaching Willis how to tuck the football when he runs. Granted, we probably wouldn't have been in many of those games without that kid.

EDIT: Cory Muse being injured off and on all year, and our MLB from last year (can't remember his name) deciding not to play his senior season really hurt the defense.
