What SO needs to concentrate on now is fixing the off-field product. The Boulevard is great, and we all love it, but think back to last year how many complaints were filed on this board about the game day experience (running out of food, drinks, in-out policy, etc.). JJ will get the fans (new, old, first time), but their experience at the game, as much as the product will get them to come back again.
Rome wasn't built in day, but we need to build on this positive momentum.
Sooner in Dallas here....
Agree with this, the product is what counts, that being said, the fans will show up if the team competes, every week, simple as that, as long as the fans know the team has a chance, they'll show up.
We had some bad attendance in the 90's, bad football caused it, tradition, the Sooner experience meant squat, the team was just bad so fans didnt go, dont blame em! I didnt either!!
This is a great hire for you guys, and I will spend a few bucks at Ford this season, since this is my home town team, lookin forward to seing what JJ throws out there!!
(sorry just couldnt stomach PB...)
Boomer Sooner! And good luck!
