I personally think the NCAA needs to grow a pair and take some action here.

I suspect the NCAA will only take the action of inaction.

I was under the delusion that the institutional controls the NCAA expects organizations to have was to catch and correct these types of activities. The institution has the responsibility to insure that the organization is in compliance with NCAA rules. That responsibility extends to athletes that are in essence professional for signing with an agent or accepting 'gift' intended to insure their business in the professional sports arena.

If that were so, then USC is responsible. And USC should be held accountable for its lack of institutional control.
