just look at Michigan and RR...Mallett transfered cuz he knew he wasnt going to play. i think JW can play in JJs system but yes, no job is safe. NEW COACH, NEW STAFF, NEW EXPECTATIONS!

Willis will start if he can grasp the offense, unless one of these new QBs are truly a god.

Yes, I remember when Mike Ford lead the nation in total offense but then had turnover problems. He was replaced by a freshman and we all know how that turned out. That freshman that wasn't known as much of a passer did do a good job of eliminating turnovers. I just can't remember his name. Lance Mclhenny or something like that.

Jones flat out said that the best players will play. I don't think he minced words. He said he owes it to the seniors to put the best guys on the field.

I believe June Jones when he says the best players will play. I tend to think Coach Jones has some credibility in judging talent and determining who the best players are (ya think?). The new staff will motivate our returning players. They will be pushed and challenged. I truly believe those returnees, who sincerely want to be a part, are going to step-up and contribute. I anticipate an exciting and productive spring. I hope all of the returning players stay and achieve the success that has eluded them. I've only talked to 2 players - 1 current, 1 who just completed his eligibility - and the team is very eager, very excited, very optimistic.

Judging from the press conference and the largest class we have signed in 20 years I think JJ plans to run some players off.

There is some dead weight on every team. The bus riders & steak eaters will eliminate themselves.

Don't know that he will run any off. They may walk away of their own accord.

If he plays the best 22 that's all we can ask and players that don't pan out in one position may find that they're even better in another. How many college QB's have turned out to be running backs, return specialists, wide-outs or defensive backs in the NFL? I can think of several. And there may be tight ends who end up pass rushing beasts. Jones will use the talent he has.

Again, we were 1-11 last year. Freshman QB or no, it cannot get any worse.

He's going to have to get right in the head. Between yelling at his teammates whenever things went bad, throwing the helmet, punching gay guys who annoy him on campus, "PB leaves, I leave" our starting QB might want to reevaluate the attitude.

spring practice will most likely determine who stays and who is encouraged to finish their football career elsewhere
