Only problem is that the visors are required to be clear. That takes the fun out of them.

I meant college. I do not know about pro.
What is the prescription for? "Needs to look mean. Attach to helmet and attack."

Doesn't seem hard. Last time I checked RXs for glasses don't cause physical addictions that land you in jail?
Or turn you into a rockstar?

i played with the "smoke" oakley visor in hs. we had a kicker play with the full black out one because his eyes were HORRIBLE...
all you need is a doctor to say you have SUN-UV problems with your eyes and the NCAA will allow you to wear the dark visor...

I am sure we have enough doctors around that we could find someone to write a script to let the kids have cool visors.

I'm sure the team has a opto come in every once in a while and do stuff like that. I know they have a chiro in every week or something and is open to athletes.

I have a few friends licensed in Texas, and as long as the kids payed out-of-pocket for their visors, there shouldn't be any problem for the doctors. (It could be considered insurance fraud otherwise.) Although the FBI did get involved with the doctors at UW, but that involved over-prescribing narcotics.
The NCAA would be the issue. If a team showed up with more than one or two players requiring visors, I'm guessing they'd investigate--especially at SMU! Pretty sure JJ, SO, and RGT don't want a visor scandal right out of the gate.
