I'm just saying. I'm sure Ellison and Thompson would rather be playing TE, but they are still joining us after JJ told them they are now on D. If Herron's the best safety, put him at safety, but "would rather play" isn't going to cut it on this team. New year, new coach, new winning & team mentality.

And no, I dont want to get anybody deleted at LB.

to a degree you are right, but not entirely. whats wrong with Herron trying to impress the new coaches at safety first? if they give him a look on the field and decide that he fits better at linebacker, then that will work itself out. personally, i like to see bigger guys who are willing to push themselves to play speed and cover positions. thats how the team gets bigger and better. I'm tired of seeing undersized guys at every position on the field.

He could be dynamic at strong safety given his size and speed. He is a little light to play LB.

I don't see being a little light as a reason to get deleted.

What adjective describing LBs got deleted? Odd that a description of LBs gets tossed, but if someone were to call our LBs a bunch of [deleted] it stays.
Edit: I just noticed that the word ending in holes did in fact make it into the delete database. This a change from about a week ago. I stand corrected.

Julian Herron is a great athlete with 4.4 speed I believe, but like Sr. LB Wilton McCray, he is just to small for LB. Julian will probably make a great Safety and like JJ said, getting guys in the right position is huge for next year's team.

Deleted????? He does NOT have the size to play LB. That has been our problem all along. Our LBs last year were WAY to small to take on lineman and make the plays. IMO his natural position is obviously safety given his speed and potential ability to make plays on faster wideouts.

Yall need to get your heads on straight...i didn't say DELETED. I said something along the lines of POOPY. does that make more sense now? Junior just went ahead and thought I actually meant delete him like off the roster or some crazy stuff like that. No.

If Herron in fact has 4.4 speed while carrying 200+ lbs, I'm all for seeing him groomed as a safety. Especially is he hits with a LB's mentality. I agree we need to work towards the day we have 225+ lb LBs
