Playing Hawaii on the road is not smart, as evidenced by the derth of teams willing to do it.

There is one advantage which nobody has mentioned. If you travel to Hawaii, you get an extra home game. There may come a time when seven home games and six road games will be very appealing.

How does playing 13 games affect rankings?

Its a guarantee that JJ will schedule a game in Hawaii. It will be a great trip for all you SMU fans. You are going to love it. Hawaii is paradise.

Just ask JJ.

It will probably happen since JJ's a nut (I like him but he's crazy). I'd love to see us playing BCS teams that were old rivals of ours...I don't think we should start out with Texas, maybe Arkansas, Baylor, throw in an Ole Miss, Colorado, Oklahoma State, Kansas State, etc. Teams that travel well and are either old rivals or who have lots of alum in the DFW area. Kansas and Missouri too though they're loaded right now. They'd all pack Ford and generate excitement for the program.

yeah. that's mack brown saying "a game with smu would be a natural." unless there's a big guarantee from uh, there's no reason to go to hawaii. but the one's playing at the state fair and who already have a dallas trip arent' going to be interested, knuckleheads.

Luckily Orsini makes the deals for games. Jones has really no say in who we play, only some imput. If Jones asks for a Hawaii game, Orsini will look into it, but could ask for the moon and say to June, we just couldn't get an agreeable deal.

Baylor-ND got moved from JerryWorld to NOLA. Maybe Steve-O can lobby the golden domers for a game here...or Arlington.
