Well then...expect the usual 'suck-up' to the Big XII on the cover of the 'summer' issue.

They ought to rename the mag: "Dave Campbell's Big 12 & Everybody Else"

Haven't bought the mag in over ten years & still ain't going to buy it. Moreover, until the BCS-BS breaks up or C-USA finally joins, the magazine's format will never, ever change. Either we start a new mag or learn to live with it.
BRING BACK THE GLORY DAYS OF SMU FOOTBALL!!!

For some strange reason, one of the few universities that REFUSE to use their school colors: Harvard Crimson & Yale Blue.

I try not to criticize without suggestion. So in an effort to avoid June bug for fairly obvious reasons…

It’s a little sad everyone is so beat down with this team, that your spirit has been lost.

That why it’s great to have positive fresh blood.
(Thinking about animal house when the going gets tuff, take one LOL.)

Everything is in motion for a much better season this year.
I watched the same thing happen at UCF. After my son left the Oline 2004 . They fired all the coaches they had no players they lost all of their games.

SMU is going to parallel UCF with it’s come back.

#1 they hired an AD that knows hot to get the right coach. (The same AD that got the coach that wins at UCF. UCF had no stadium on campus, they were paying a head coach 150,000 a year that when confronted with the idea of having a stadium and more money for a top coach he believed it was impossible. Two years later they were paying a coach a 1.5 mill a year with and on campus stadium and two CUSA championships.

Steve gets the guy buy selling the vision to the money. Who then brings in the players he needs. Expect a five win season this year with a run at the SHIP next year.

Winning is the only thing that counts.

I completely agree. I'm like everyone else - would love to see a Hawaii-like turnaround, but realism says 4 or 5 wins, followed by a huge breakout next season.

The high school section is all Randy Rogers and Rivals...They get it wrong more times than getting it right and there is definetly some politics involved. A more accurate medium is 5A Texas football. They have a much higher percentage of teams and players, year after year than DCTFB. Not sure why SMU gets no love from thier mag, but not surprised.

Once they get through with their annual "this is the year for Baylor (DC's alma mater)" lovefest, the rest of the mag is sloppily thrown together, although I agree with Vitale that this year's winter issue had the best SMU section in eons. Here's hoping for another.
