Here is one that DOES have SMU and TCU references in it . . .
![]() Every college in the country wants Johnny. 'Cause when he's good he's very very good. And when he's bad he's better. It's recruiting time and despite being short and scrawny, Johnny Walker is America's hottest young football prospect. His dilemma: should he take one of the many offers from college talent scouts or should he attend the local state college with his girlfriend and give up his football career? The girlfriend . . . yes, Uma Thurman Also appearing in the movie - Jim McMahon
Heh,
I remember as a kid the whole family going out to the Cottonbowl to be extras for the crowd shots for Semi-Tough...they promised free food and hourly drawings giving away cars, which really didn't happen. Also, it was cold and rainy and the "crowd" was only made up of about two thousand people, we kept having to move to different areas of the Cottonbowl for the shots.....It was interesting to watch how they filmed the football sequences...they were rehearsed in a walktrhough manner over and over. Did get to see Burt Reynolds and we can pick ourselves out in the crowd scenes for the movie..but it ended up being a flop..plus it was Rated "R" and parents wouldnt let me see it...watched it for first time on cable years later ![]() Womack + Wishbone = Heisman
