One Trick,
I'm a first year member too. I graduated in 2006 and never felt compelled to give back to SMU athletics until the hiring of June Jones. It has totally changed my perspective on our athletic department and university administration. I want to help be a part of the turnaround and I know of several younger alumni who are jumping on board as well.
Back off Warchild seriously.

Just like the real Stallion! You know what they say, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
The donkey's name is Kiki.
On a side note, anybody need a patent attorney?
Good, Bad...I'm the one with the gun.

Welcome aboard! SMU needs more of its young alumni to follow your example. Spread the word!

If I were anything like the real Stallion I would have pulled a Brooks from Shawshank long ago.
Back off Warchild seriously.

I am a different breed of the mustang club member. I have no affiliation with the school what so ever.
I never liked college ball until my son played for UCF as the anchor on their offensive line. It was there that I fell in love with the atmosphere of college game day. I know what it feels like to walk into a stadium of 50,000 and have your son on the front cover of game day magazine.

I have been a supporter of UCF football sense 2003 a season ticket holder and golden knights club member. Until this year.
My son’s fiancé a student at SMU asked me to come to a game last year and the Rice game in Houston so I went. I loved the game day atmosphere at SMU and wanted to be a part of something closer to my home.
I hosted the UCF tailgate at SMU last year and it was then that I made a decision that I was going to support SMU football.
I put my self on the list for season tickets after the school lost 11 games and before the hiring of JONES. I know what its like to be the underdog, to be in conference USA, to loose all of your games.
But when the SMU program comes back and they begin to win I will have been a part of it.
This is my one Trick!

Thanks for sharing the story One Trick Pony.
That is exactly the way SMU will one day fill it's stadium.
By people in Dallas that love the college game day "adopting" SMU.
June Jones should really help increase this trend.

In the mean time, buy two extra season tickets and donate them back to SMU. They will make sure some good people, who otherwise wouldn't, get the chance to see SMU play this year. Putting more people in the stands AND giving a great day on the hilltop to someone you'll never meet, what could be better?
It tastes better when served from a Bowl (game)!

Welcome One Trick Pony .
Yes we will have an ice cold beer & a brat for you.
ps: The " buying a ticket and donating it back to the school" is fine, but whats better is to buy an extra ticket and bring a friend to an SMU game. That way you can personally "baby-sit" them, pick them up and drive them to the game, show them the BLVd, ect., and try to make their game day experience so much fun they will want to come back. If everyone can get 1 or 2 "converts" a year we will have that stadium full very quickly.

Will Big Tex be back on duty, or at least back on site this year? Did he get his medical hardship?
