And track...and some wins in basketball/football...and luck. Mostly luck.
Maybe we can prove it was a Baylor grad that burned down the Governor's Mansion and Rick Perry will get us in.

So did Rice, Houston and TCU....

Wouldn't we be the school with the lowest enrollment in the Big XII?
By about a factor of ten?

Our best hope for a better conference is a Big East expansion/implosion. The Big 12 already has huge media and recruiting representation here, we wouldn't add much. Now the BE or SEC on the other hand..........
We could fill the Cotton Bowl every game against SEC teams and help them steal market share from the big 12 in dallas.

We'll need baseball and softball, though.

Let's compete consistantly in C-USA before we get ahead of ourselves. We were 1-11 last year and stunk at basketball.

and who looks like they have the most upside between us and them?...and its not about enrollment its about revenue and how many people you can get to attend the games, obviously that needs to go up and thats why i'm looking at this to be made into a legit goal in 5 or 6 years when(hopefully) we have turned this program around...given SMU's connections and prestige i see no reason why ISU or Baylor should get a pass over us if push comes to shove

We do! Ever watch soccer, swimming, women's bball, tennis, golf, or any other number of sports that aren't nearly as entertaining or interesting as football and basketball?

Says who? Do all Big 12 schools have both of those sports?
Say no to any "game" with metal bats.

I would give the edge to TCU.

If we go to 10 bowls in 11 years and compete for BCS bowls in 3 seasons, win 10 plus games in about 4 seasons and win multiple conference championships SMU would sit in the shoes TCU is sitting in right now-forget it. Although I have always sincerely thought that under an even playing field SMU can and will do anything TCU can do and better.
