bump on this

tailgate is 3 days away and I still don't have a power source. how long will a deep cycle marine battery last at tailgate? we want to be out there all day.

also has anyone tried a powerpack? like the duracell 600? wondering if this is an option....any advice from experienced tailgaters appreciated

You can run off a marine battery for quite a while, provided you don't have too many things hooked up to it. For several years I ran a 27'' tv with "surround sound" off the one I bought at Academy and it worked for 5 hours or so.

In order to the use the battery, you will need a power inverter, which can be purchased at Academy or Radio Shack. You'll probably need about a 750 to be safe.

Never tried the power pack, but it might be worth a shot.

Send me a PM if you have any more questions.

"What do you guys do with your stuff when you go in to the game? Pack everything back up?"

We usually have a designated "Blvd Tent Sitter" or we pack everything up that can be carried off. A couple of years ago we left our tent unattended assuming everything would be safe, but somone carted off our beer cooler full of refreshments and a flag. (ThadFilms was that you? lol)
