Why not just put it where the practice fields are now? Indoor at the facility and outdoor in the stadium.

They use those fields for more than just football - I'd rather take up some worthless academic or residential space.

Wouldn't they miss them?

We'd need to get Carmen Sandiego to steal two buildings that big...

couldn't they just build the indoor practice facility on the current practice field? do they need to have an indoor and outdoor facility?

i guess you forgot about the Texas heat and that 99% of the games theyve played in the past 3 years have been played outside.

Can't build over existing field because it has other uses. Maybe we can build another field elsewhere to take care of this.

We must build it for prestige and recruiting.

Exactly. 8) Until the new natatorium is funded and construction started on Bishop, the indoor FB facility should be on the waitlist. (Both will need a lead donor, BTW)

I've heard the frat fields by Moody, adjacent to the parking garage were targeted.

Not sure how that could be - that is the last of the open fields on campus.

hypothetically, can you dig down? Can you build an indoor facility underground where the existing practice facility is and put field turf above it? Obviously, the ceiling would have to be high enough for lights and for passing, but working on special teams would not be an option.
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Not a good idea. We are dramatically short of intramural and club sports fields as it is. We need to expand open ground for Student games, including lacrosse, etc.

That's a lot of money. Everything also depends on where Bush library is going.

Put it where the existing practice field is now... with a retractable roof ala Jerry World.

The novelty alone would boost recruiting.
