I think its harder to get into RICE than it is to get into SMU. I didnt even get into rice.

Rice is just different. They are geekier, usually have higher SAT scores, heavier, more zits, and the women don't shave or wax except for job interviews. But they can fix your computer in two seconds flat.

SMU will take anyone who will pay full tuition. Getting scholarship at SMU is the equivalent to getting accepted elsewhere.

It is becoming quite difficult to get into SMU these days. Having rich parents won't do it alone anymore. SMU has made some really impressive strides in the academic reputation of the school.

having money does still up, just not as much like you said. with the recent problems SMU is doing their "best" to try and clean up their act of just letting anyone in with a trust fund
