Is that counting everyone or just SMU people? We are well on our way to selling out our alotment.
Everyone. There might not be many people there besides your allotment + 1500.
As posted elsewhere we were given all or part of 8 sections, 185/285 on the 50 all the way over to the scoreboard, and as of last Wednesday we had sold out 4 and a half of those sections, plus we are bringing the full band and yes even the Strutters. We took 5,000 last year to Baylor and the push to get our fans to this game has been overwhelming.

I predict a very good crowd for this game, and it will deteriorate quickly as the season moves on and the losses pile up. Last game of the year will be about 500 people like last yr vs UCF.

It's not that pretty right now because it is under severe reconstruction but it works just fine.

Not that I have any expectations but... I remember the last D1AA team we played (well, other than NTCC). The STFU Bearkats came to Ford in 2006. Having lost games in Lubbock and Denton I had no idea what to expect from the Kats. I remember telling wife 2.0: "If we can't beat this team, we're not going to win another game this year."
But that was the game where things finally clicked for Willis, and we beat the crap out of that tomato can. Again, no expectations but... It sure would be nice for things to come together.

yes you are right. It would be great to BLM to use this game as a spring board to getting better. Lets hope his INTs drop to zero or just 1 this game

SMU's freshman QB doesn't need to score more; he needs to not throw pics. SMU pulls that game even if no turnovers.

I am really not a negative fan, but you can't what if and wipe away turnovers. What if Rice didn't turn the ball over twice inside its own 20? Then what would would the score have been? My concern is that rice fumbling twice on kicks/punts is much more of a fluke than our freshman qb throwing picks. our guys dont hit all that hard so counting on causing fumbles is not something i want to count on as the season goes by.

What if we didn't throw two picks, one that was returned for a touchdown and another that was returned to the one?
We would have lost 42-14 or 42-7 because according to you that fourth touchdown doesn't count either?

What if the Vandals hadnt sacked Rome? We'd all be typing in Latin. If not for the barbarians of Germany, it would have been a whole different ballgame for the Roman Empire.
