As Mayor, I did not allow wind nor rain during the game.

Both of his feet were in the air, so I'm not sure how he could possibly have stepped out of bounds. Sanders was wearing black socks and black shoes, the defender was wearing red and black shoes with white socks. I was disappointed that it wasn't reviewed. Here are photos proving it:

Note the colors of the socks/shoes of both players, as well as the pants attached to the leg in question. In the first photo, he is clearly in bounds. In the second, the leg that is out of bounds is the Tech defensive player. Sanders' legs were both off the ground.
Re: Completely unacceptable by the coaching staffAt least we have progressed to complaining about not reviewing rulings on the field instead of questioning playcalling.
you guys saying he was out of bounds were looking at the defender's foot, but you think it's Sanders' foot. It's confusing when you first look at it- I thought it was his too until I watched it closely. He never stepped out of bounds in the field of play. That was a touchdown.
It doesn't matter.
How is he wrong? I can quite easily tell the difference. The pants are also a different color. The foot that was out of bounds belonged to the Tech player.
it's obviously hard to tell the difference because you are still wrong.
(EDIT- the post above mine when I posted this regarding shoe colors disappeared for some reason). Even if you were right, a review would still have been the right call to see where the ball was - and not where his foot was- when he supposedly went out of bounds.
sorry i didnt read your post correctly... i agree with you WEST DIVISION CHAMPS 2010
great pic Melissa! Now maybe mrydel can show us somehow that the foot that magically comes down immediately right behind his- out of bounds- is Sanders' own, rather than the Tech defender's...
Obviously it had no impact on that game. But that was a touchdown.
OK, I am almost willing to relent on this but I would like to see an actual replay again to be sure. I thought Sanders foot came doen one more time before the ball reaching the goal line. But the out of bounds foot of the Tech player does look like the one I saw. Since I am a homer, I will say it should have been a TD. My apologies to those with whom I have argued.
And once again for those that refuse to know the rules, every play is reviewed upstairs. The play was reviewed. Just because they do not stop play does not mean it was not reviewed. Read the rules before you make accusations. What I saw on the review was to me very clear. BUT, if I saw it wrong, the reviewers saw the same thing as did I. It will not be the first or last bad call I have seen in a game. All those who believe in psycho kinesis, raise my hand
I thought it was his foot as well, until we watched the reply for the 3rd or 4th time. I see how they missed it in the reply booth. And Stallion, there was no other foot down in between. He planted his foot next to the sideline, and then went airborne. I wish I knew how to upload a clip from our DVR, but I have no clue how to do that.
I will also say that the first foot down (the one Stallion wants confirmed as not pivoting out) was in bounds. Take that for what it is worth since apparently I was wrong on the other one. I do recall wondering why Sanders planted his foot (the alleged out of bounds one) when he should have been able to jump far enough to get in. Again, my apologies to anyone I offended with my beliefs. I am 99.9% on the side of a score now. Thankfully I have now made my one mistake for the year (good news) but the bad news is, apparently I am blind and stupid along with being old. Now, for those that wish to berate me, please be aware I am at this moment leaving for the airport for an out of state trip and will not be ignoring your ridicule, merely out of touch. All those who believe in psycho kinesis, raise my hand
Why are we arguing about this? If we was out of bounds, we should have been able to score from the 1 yard line. If we can't score with a 1st and goal from the one - we don't deserve to win (see Rice 2006).
