Right on. The above is disgusting/delusional. Bo doesn't do a very good job recognizing and not throwing into developing double coverage, i.e. the first play of the game, and tried to force balls to our undersized receivers in-between the arms of far superior Tech athletes. I don't know about you guys but that sounds like exactly what one would expect from a freshman quarterback. What concerns me is that Bo continues to overthrow (high) his receivers over the middle and hasn't learned to time his deep routes to his receivers. There's a learning curve for sure but it needs to be getting better week to week. Tech is a tough game to evaluate that improvement because of the substantial increase in talent on the other side of the ball, but if he starts doing that against TCU early I vote Turner or Willis goes in and June/Mitchell talk about it.

I can tell you exactly what is going to happen on Saturday.
First TCU fans will laugh at us for that stupid az# Pony Up song as our team runs out.
The defense will come out and play above their heads early. TCU doesn't have a passing TD yet. After making a couple of nice defensive stops, BLM will throw several picks for TCU TD's and the blowout begins.
Then in the fourth quarter when the game is out of hand JJ will put Turner in. This will happen in every game for the rest of the season.

that should worry you. Tech struggled in the passing game to start the year off and we all saw how they got the wheels finally rolling.
you think that cupcake Efense can stop the run. THEY HATE TO TACKLE.
no expectations but TCU will fine tone their passing game next week

Sorry - but TCU is no Texas Tech. This will be a more even matchup next weekend than some of you expect. Not saying we will win - but look for a good game.
As for BLM - I say - stay the course with BLM and stop calling the down field pass plays with the frequency that we saw against Tech, and we will see more of what we saw in Q1 against Rice . . . just my 2 cents.
If the O from Q1 @ Rice could be combined with the D form Q1 at Tech, we will see a good game this weekend. Of course - they need to make this combo for ALL four Qs.

the offense in the First Quarter at Rice was basically two slip screens with YAC. How long you think they can run that offense.

Yes, we matchup beter against TCU, but they will still take advantage of our lack of overall spead with the spread and will control the game. We played well against Texas state in the base 4-3 when they didn't have their nickel package on the field, but they also had a much worse oline than TCU has.
I am very worried about our ability to both rush the QB and contain rush defense becuase of our lack of size. It is easy to just tee off against Tech, but you have to play both ways against TCU and that is when size matters.
I also don't believe that we will see Willis at QB with the option look until conference play. No other CUSA teams have tape of the Texas State game, we didn't show the look against Tech and TCU has too much team speed for it to be too effective.
I thought the final of the Tech game would be 70-24. I still think the final of the TCU game will probably be along the lines of 38-14. But you still play BLM to allow him to grow because long term he is the only QB on the roster with the physical tools to be successful in this offense. Throwing Turner out there might make the score closer against TCU, but we still don't have the horses to win against quality opponents. If our D was better, I might have different opinions about not making mistakes and stuff, but that just isn't where we are right now.

There is no reason that Logan can't run this offense.

No reason JW can't either.
Last year the loss at TCU was more to blame on playcalling than anything else, as was several of the games,,,third and one and forth and one, and they called the same play with Martin as lead blocker. If they had made the first they could of won the game.

I would be happy with either Logan or JW at QB. Since JW hasn't thrown a pass this season it looks like Logan will get the nod if a change is made. Didn't JJ say he would evaluate the QB position after the first 3 games?

Face it.. this is going to be a loss and and learning experience for BLM. This is June's guy and everyone needs to stop this pity party. Winning is just gravy in JJ's mind this year - it's not his intent with this QB. He's inherited a group that is learning his system - and a young QB that he wants to make his own project.
Enjoy the Boulevard this year and check your expectations at the gate of Ford Stadium - you'll enjoy the season much more. The next few years will only get better.
What we obtain too cheap.. we esteem too lightly. It is persistence alone that gives everything its value.

Why does that sound familiar?

I don't think JJ is going to play a QB who throws 3-5 ints a game. Turnovers are the key stat in football. Those ints kill all hope.
