That's what I did for the Tx St game.

Actually a great idea....any recommended restaurants or places to grab a bite nearby? Within a mile or two?

Seven Eleven on Mockingbird has the new cheeseburger dogs. I didn't want to suggest anything too fancy for you country folk from cowtown.

Good idea...maybe I'll swing through Dairy Queen and pick up a blizzard for dessert!

Do what Amon Carter would do when he came to Dallas. Bring a sack lunch.

I've never had a problem with walking out at halftime and coming back in. I don't think its an issue.

The last few years, you could come and go, but only from one gate. It is at the north end of the stadium. I don't understand the logic. Seems to cause one packed gate surrounded by a bunch of empty ones. I am not sure if that is still the rule.

Say hi to NTSUer Larry while you are there. He has been promoted to assistant cashier/hot dog microwave specialist.

Sadly, I don't know of a DQ in Dallas proper. Anyone?

Reedfrog:

Go to the SMUmustangs .com and sign up on the All Access sight and stay home and enjoy the game in the brilliant technicolor provided by those fine folks at CBS College Sports football.

Oh, and any technical difficulties will just be for a short time I am sure.

I just bought a group of 10 tickets which will be available at will call starting tomorrow. Ticket office opens at noon the day of the game. Hopefully those that can go early will go early and save the trouble of packed will call lines. Maybe printing online will help too.

Ozona at Mockingbird and Dyer Ave is within a mile. Great outdoor seating areas - good food - cheap beer before 7:00, mix of us 30 somethings with young SMU coeds. Can't go wrong at all with this place.

ReedFrog should be welcomed at any SMU tailgate on the Blvd. Unlike some of the Tech posters on this board - RF is a classy HF fan and has been around since the beginning of these boards . . . ReedFrog - enjoy your visit to Ford.

Anyone notice Reedfrawg has been a member of this site longer than most SMU folks. I think he was one of the regular posters on the Mustangmaniacs site as well.

Sorry, but you will be looking for a long time before you find a Dairy Queen within 10 miles of SMU.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

Use to be one 100 yards from SMU off Hillcrest. I actually went to a DQ in SoCal that did not serve hamburgers...go figure.

Reed Frawg, you are a popular poster on this board...go hang out on the 'Vard.

Forgot about that one...hell that sucker may still be there. If so it is the last one in town.
