I dont think UF has any business being #4 right now since OU lost to Texas, not an unranked Ole Miss team. However, I would NOT want to play them in the title game - that's for sure!!
It tastes better when served from a Bowl (game)!

While I am no USC fan, their loss to oregon state (6-3) on the road is certainly no worse than florida's loss to ole miss (5-4) at home..

6. an outstanding USC team which I know could beat all of the above but in fact doesn't desrve to be ranked above them because of their loss. OU is probably the best 5th ranked team in years but hey they lost to Texas on a neutral site by 10 so they have to prove it. I'd probably pick OU to beat Tech in Norman.

Let them be. For non-conference games, they play non-BCS schools and are will to play them on the road as well. If they stop playing non-BCS schools or even refuse to play those schools on the road, then one more source of big games dries up.

Please note that a number of the top BCS teams will not play a non-BCS team away from home. Penn State, for example, always wants 8 home games every year. You come to them; they do not go to you. The non-BCS team or Sub Division teams need a good pay day and that is the way the things are today.
