We've got talent disparity at 3/4th of the positions on the team-not even getting into lack of quality depth, You are right though a mediocre team can go bowling in CUSA with its 6 bowls-we are a long way from mediocre. I'm thinking we will be able put a quality WR group on the field next year but I think we are well below mediocre at most every other position.-I'm serious. We've got too small, too short, too weak, and too unathletic all over the field.

Well that quote didn't compare smu to alabama or say were alabama

Well that is pretty much what you said. You said Alabama has a young team and they don't suck like we do - so that is comparing the two teams. And it is a foolish comparison given the resources and support Alabama and other large state schools have compared to SMU. That doesn't even take into account, they should have gotten the death penalty. We have had 20 years of the administration running this program into the ground, starting with Kenneth Pye. Alabama never had to deal with that or the model as Stallion has said a million times. 1 year will not change the 20 year culture of losing that has developed around this football program.

As I posted in detail in a different post, I think we are .500 in 2010 and project as a better team in 2011. With JUCOs, 2 OL, 2 DL, 1 LB quality players that come in and start would bolster the weakest units enough to make a difference next season and push us towards .500. WR and secondary will be good enough next season and QB will improve.

How many times have we used that one on this board in the last 4 years?
It tastes better when served from a Bowl (game)!

What did you just "discover" the internet 4 years ago. We've been using that excuse since the invention of the internet. BTW hasn't Southern Miss been to something like 10 straight bowls? What's the surprise?
