I disagree. UT does it better and more shamelessly than most. Look at Mack's whining last night, compared to Stoops' post-game comments.[/quote]

Stoops bends the facts to his favor without shame.

Mack's whining, sure worked several years ago. Credit Stoops, for not breaking out the violins this past week.

Couldn't disagree more with the Stoops argument. He is the worst of the three.

the best argument generally wins in this case. The best argument in deciding the 4th Big 12 tiebreaker ("highest BCS finish"-a national perspective) is that Texas beat OU on a neutral field by 10 points.

mr. pony wrote:Like I said, Texas' political power and behind-the-scenes pressuring of the media is unprecedented. Dodds and Mack get what they want. Every time.

you have a serious agenda against UT for some reason.....were you denied acceptance there? Anyway, UT has just as valid of an argument to represent the Big XII South as OU or Tech but you keep bring up Mack and UT getting what they want every time?? What are you talking about? What have they gotten that they didn't deserve?

OU caught and passed UT in the Sagarin Ratings which is one of the computer rankings used. In fact, OU and UT are No. 1 and 2

Notice Texas still has a higher strength of schedule ranking... although the gap has closed by about 15 places.

There were many reports of Stoops spending the week hitting the phones to fellow coaches shamelessly trying to push his teams ranking. As has always been the case with the BS we call BCS, if it is working out well for your team this year, you just "let it play out", but the ones getting the short end of the stick are "lobbying".
