I think the Tide deserve their number one ranking.

Rememeber that Clemson was favored going into that game in Atlanta. Unfortunately for them the Tigers imploded. Bowden was fired a few weeks later. Clemson had talented and deep roster going into that game.

I bet if you played Clemson against Alabama now, with Dabo has accomplished, the game would be quite a bit closer.

Nonconference scheduling is tough. OU got lucky this year plain and simple. Who could have known CINCY and TCU would rise so much in the polls.

When the schedules are made up the AD's only have history to guide them. Did Arkansas stink a few years ago like they do this year? Is that Dodds fault?

Utah and Boise would both get crushed by the Tide.

they are worthy of the ranking now. we'll see how they do against UF but the BCS computers think they are the 3rd best team

There in lies one of the problems...computers can't think...they can only run programs created by someone who can think, but not necessarily clearly.

very true but the "computers" are actually humans who create their ranking programs. from when the BCS started, theres only 1 original computer ranking left.
