Sucks
how many of those teams could we beat?
I'd go with the 2008 SMU squad winning against:
Army
Duke
Eastern Michigan
Indiana
Kent State
Middle Tennessee
North Texas
Toledo
If you're not already on drugs, then I'd say you need medication.
SMU would beat the Toledo team that beat Michigan? Or the MTSU team that went 5-7, including a win over Maryland? You do realize that Duke beat the Navy team that ran over our defense like it wasnt there, as well as Vanderbilt (2 bowl teams)? There's only one team on that list SMU would be favored against, UNT.
Everyone else on that list has 3-5 wins, including wins over legitimate D1A teams, something that SMU hasnt been able to swing in the last couple of years. Even Army has a win over a Bowl team (La. Tech) and they beat Tulane. You remember Tulane, right? They lead 31-7, before our second half comeback made the score close to respectable. The next week they got steamrolled by Army, 44-13.
SMU is Division 1's whipping boy. Thank heavens our neighbors in Denton are even worse, or we would be the absolute bottom.
