At this rate JT will have no choice but to take his laptop into the bathroom with him...or resort to comic books. 8)
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

Aw, man. Not Keith, too! This does stink.

I agree with Stallion. The best thing would be to contract with Rivals and/or Scout.

Maybe they could hire the SMU Football Blog for an occasional expletive-laden tirade?

Note that the 7-day subscription went up to $28.50/month (from $19.95) per a letter I received from Bob Mong. I cancelled my subscription the next day.

Good or bad - the newpaper business is the same as the horse and buggy business in 1925. Good as dead.

Not so sure it is bad.

All that UT coverage really paid off for the DMN.

That's the lib way. Need more money? Raise taxes/subscription rates. One problem: revenue goes down......

Easy, faze out the paper version in six months move to a nice new small office space with your best writers and sales people ,and sell advertising on the free subscription web site. Charge smaller fees for advertising in all of the areas that you currently do. Nearly zero over head on raw cost for production. Prrofits will soar. Now give me my bonus, wait you have to get bail out money from the people first...

Regarding subscription prices, the key is to just let it lapse, they will start calling daily trying to get you back, they finally offered to give it to me for 13 months for a little over $150. It is not your check they need it is all in the number of subscribers they can report.

That's a great idea, I think next time I get a renewal I will try that.
