I will be very disappointed if we don't score at least 50 and beat them by 4 TD's. And screw garbage time, keep them out there Mike Leach style. The next two games are huge, so we might as well get as much play time as possible...

They were not good last year...believe they had 3 yards rushing and maybe 200 total yards. 67-7 final.
I expect an SMU win of 21+

I would be hesitant at this point to ever think we could beat someone by 21. Hope we do but I wouldn't bet on it..............

I would not be surprised if we covered. If we really want to make a statement and feed off a win, we need to cover. That being said, a win is a win, and I'll take a win no matter how ugly.

I can understand (and I know a win is a win) but I'd be surprised if this is closer than 3 scores. I don't see SMU scoring less than 42-49 so it will depend on the defense.

ReedFrawg, I'm really begin to like you. Are you going to be this cordial the week of the SMU-TCU game?

RF is a good froggie and is always encouraging (and realistic) with SMU football. Even TCU week finds him pleasant towards us. He wants the Ponies to rise to some level of prominence again so the rivalry is back up and running.

Good to know about ReedFrawg since I'm fairly new to the board. I'm like alot of others on this board, I pull for TCU since they are a small private university like SMU - I just don't pull for them one game a year. Now if LeroyTheLumberjack would just get it together like ReedFrawg.

SFA typically has a team full of athletes that had trouble making the grade academically so, I am holding my breath. If they have a couple of fast outside linebackers and my suspicion is that they do, Mr. Mitchell could be looking through his earhole a lot.............

I hope we get a big lead by half so that we can see a lot of the 2nd and 3rd stringers play some. Would love to see Braden get a shot in the 4th quarter. Also Hunt and the freshman linebackers. Hopefully There will be no need to play ES and AR in the 4th and we can watch the 2nd string receivers some too.

Well, I've been around this board for many years now. And I don't know about rising to prominence but I would like to see SMU experience some success. I don't know how some of you guys have stuck it out this long. I am still be worried about your defense - it seems clear your offense can score against most teams in conference but I don't think the defense will stop people. Guess we'll find out soon enough! (It's like Christmas Day with college football starting in 3.5 hours!)

I don't remember anything noteworthy happening regarding a confrontation.
