DMN: TEXAS FBS rankings

I think Webb will be a great test for our LB's and DE's. If we can force him to go 3, 4, 5 yards a clip instead of 10-15, we can wear him down. I think our offense is good for 35 ppg if its playing anywhere near its potential. With McNeal, Robinson and Sanders out there and any protection for BLM and it should be a fun high scoring affair. I would not be surprised if there were 90 points scored in this game.

Thank god it was FBS rankings. Otherwise Texas State would have been ahead of us! (and maybe even West Texas A&M!)

These rankings are borderline idiotic. Strange how Rice gets beat by someone they were supposed to lose to, yet gets ranked higher than SMU who won a game they should have. Might as well have flipped a coin to see who would end up in 9th out of 10 teams in a ranking that means nothing. Whoop de freaking do. I'm not wearing rose colored glasses here, but this column is pointless.

If you don't think our inability to generate any offense whatsoever, and barely sneaking out a win even with 5 INTs, a kick return, and a gimme TD against a middle-of-the-pack DI-AA team is not way, way worse of a performance than Rice losing in a legit game against a DI-A team, then you ARE wearing rose colored glasses.

This is funny-we haven't beat a Division 1A team is just about exactly 2 years and we are bitchin' about being ranked too low

Look, my only point is that these rankings were stupid. End of story. I could give a rat's arse if he had ranked us 20th out of only 10 teams because it means absolutely nothing.
