Posts like yours IPP shows that you are pathologically incapable of
understanding that the realists on this board stand for real improvement +
and standards.

Yeah cow-patch I am such an unrealistic "sunshiner" that I stated before
this season started that we "must win 4 games" this year.....

Jezzzz that is just unreasonable "sunshine"! I am really out on a limb reaching!.....LOL

Frankly I could care less what your opinion is....I trust June Jones not some bozo named "couch'em".

Unlike you I don't pretend to know more about football than people paid millions for their sports knowledge.

People like you are not going to change anyway. If we were 3-0 today you'd still be beachin&moanin.

It's obvious you don't get it.

Orsini and June Jones do.....and thats actually all that matters!

Patton - why can't someone tweet, recruit and coach? Are you saying a coach posting comments, thoughts, and opinions on a web site affects his recruiting and coaching? You are always so negative and complain just to hear yourself complain. You are a broken record and frankly no one cares what you think or say. You are not that interesting.

A) now days, tweeting is part of his job.
B) his tweets take under a minute to post every couple of days.
C) Someone with 5,000 posts in a little over 2 years with a family and a job
shouldn't be casting stones.

Again, YOU don't get it. My post had nothing to do with your season prediction or who knows the most about football. It was a response to your post:
Prediction: June's honesty and frankness won't sit well with some,
but who cares, it's obvious they'll never be happy anyway.

and is about how you think that those who don't share yoru perfunctory feel-good sunshine are somehow going to be negative about anythign and everything. It shows that you don't understand the source of the negativity.

You would like to believe that we are negative just for the sake of being negative because it makes it easier for you to bury your head in the sand and deal with the profound disappointment that has been SMU football for so many years.

We however face the reality that football has been an embarassment.

You want to feel good about SMU football.

We want SMU football that we can feel good about. We want to WIN. You just want to hope.

I bet is makes you angry when Stallion is positive about the direction of the program, doesn't it?

Yes, a 3 -0 start would have put us in the catbird seat to get to 6 - 6. That's what really sucked about blowing it last weekend. However, I think ECU and Navy are key games to get to six wins. As I stated before, I have this gut feeling that we beat Navy this year.

HSO:
Soon, a head coach will tweet from the sideline during a game - and it will catch on big-time.

I hope not, because I wouldn't want to go somewhere where the coach states his goal as 6 wins.

I agree. Sorry GSP but based on your post count, you obviously aren't a good father, husband or employee/business owner.

Are you kidding me June? I have NEVER heard a coach say something like that. It's not acceptable to me. It sets and encourages a standard of mediocrity. You want that thought in your players ears?

So when we get punched in the mouth in the first quarter against East Carolina, everyone has a nice easy out. "Maybe we don't need to fight back, this must have been one of those tough games June was talking about. I don't feel so bad now. " bull**it.

Or is June so in touch with all of you who want nothing more than for this team to improve enough so that it could be considered mediocre?

A coach that I dearly admire got himself smacked in the mouth pretty good last weekend. His quote: "You set the bar at where you want to be and you do not give in until you get there".

Disappointing that some of you have taken this program-type of argument and made personal attacks toward me.

I guess if you can't win in the arena of ideas, get very ugly and go after people's character. Very nice of you.

But that's fine. Do what you think is right. And if you can live with that, then more powere to you.

Back on the point, I do not believe in Tweeting. Others feel differently.
