Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe only one other school has offered him a job: Minnesota?
Auburn.

The reason that you do not understand is because we have student-athletes instead of the semi-pros that you have at hoppy-toad high. GO PONIES!!!
Academic smack. You've really hit the bottom of the barrell. Again, there's only one team in the nation who ever suffered the death penalty due to having "semi-pros" on their football team. I don't need to remind you which school that is.
SMU is the only school in the nation that had the guts to acknowledge college D-1 players were semipro, and look what it got us. I didn't hear TCU, UT, Rice, Houston, etc. admit that SMU wasn't doing anything that the other SWC schools were doing. Thanks for watching our back.
Just send 'da money.

Dude, seriously, think about it. 2 wins in 2 seasons. That's about all the smck we can manage these days. On another note, I'm looking forward to checking out the TCU tailgate this weekend.
Derail the Frogs!

I suspect that the Frogs ranking will in fact go down if we loose badly...such is their luck, and ours.

If I were Jerry Jones I would hire Gary Patterson for defensive coordinator.

Patterson is not going to leave TCU because it is to cushy for him now. He just goes on interviews so that he can get raises from TCU. I would not be surprised if he does it again this year.

SMU didn't admit anything until after it got caught -- twice. You were still on probation for the initial violations when you got caught the second time. TCU discovered its own violations and self-reported to the NCAA. No other program in Texas did that. Certainly not SMU.

You're wrong. He was talked to by Clemson, Kansas State (his alma mater) offered a job, and he's been on the list for several schools. He's always mentioned when a vacancy opens up at a big school. He likes TCU.
I knew about Clemson - the key word is "offered," which discounts Clemson since they didn't actually offer. I thought the KSU offer never came thanks to the media jumping the gun.

Auburn.
Ah, yes, forgot about that one. Probably should have had the job, too, but Lowder wanted his boy Chizik there.

From what I hear he could have had it. Not saying I know for sure but I heard it from a solid source.

Possibly. All I know is that Lowder and Chizik are good friends, and in those days - pre-Colonial Bank insolvency - all decisions at Auburn could be vetoed by Lowder.
