I am a big DJ fan but the implied bagging on Cole Beasley is not accurate. He has more receptions per game that AR at this point and almost as many as Wilkerson. Other than Sanders, all the starting receivers are between 3.6 and 3.8 receptions per game.

That said, I am very much looking forward to what DJ will do and not for some negative reason aimed at the current starters.

While ES has been outstanding the majority of the time, the other receivers have only shown flashes of what could be. Great potential but as Bum used to say, "potential just means you haven't done it yet". We don't just need the potential of the big play, we also need these guys to be able to make the catches to move the chains down the field. They are keeping the defense on the field way too long and it is not like we have a lot of depth on the d line. Anybody have an idea of how many scoring drives of 70 yards or longer consisting of more than 7 plays we have had so far this year? Mix it up. For some reason, our timing seems way off for just routine short passes and too often the receivers are open and either the QB hurrys the throw or the receivers drop it if it is not perfect. Hundreds of workouts and our timing is still off? Is it the coaching by the qb/wr coaches? Disappointing season so far in that regard. Nice to see other parts of the team step up to get the W.

As said on another thread, the offense is going to have to play their best game of the season to date tomorrow for us to win... I believe in our defense this year more than I have in the last decade, but that option attack is tough to stop, you can only hope to contain it. If they hold them to our average points (28 i think) then we need to score (on offense, you can't always count on blocked kicks, returns, etc.) much more than we have been to keep up!

Go Stangs, Beat Navy!
Sports, and all that implies.
