they left at halftime
they left in the 3rd Quarter
they left in 4th Quarter
they left BEFORE Overtme
What a bunch of losers
We were all laughing at them

The funny thing is most of the people that left also didn't stand up to cheer, didn't clap, and whined at others (including us) to sit down. What a bunch of losers - I know we need butts in seats, but we might just be better of with their kind somewhere else.

Who goes to a game to leave early??? Come on!!

Who are the people that leave at half time and never return? It's like they just came to see the half time presentation and bailed out.

It happened in the student section and on the home side. A lot of people left at half. :?

I think it got colder than a lot of people realized it would. They were wearing shorts, and some
didn't even have jackets. Windy out of the east provided a mean wind chill. Saw lots of
people watching on TV in the concourse when I was there.

Great game to watch, well worth the money for a ticket :!: :!: :!: :!: :!:

It was a lot more fun than I expected after seeing the Rice-NAVY score last weekend.

I think our D-fence can be upgraded to a C-fence :!: :!:

PlanoStang...you been watching that Sonic commercial again?

Great atmosphere and the price can't be beat. Why people aren't bringing their young children out to the games for a fun and inexpensive night of fun is disappointing. Proud of the Mustangs for their great efforts. Not so proud of some of the offensive coaches and their personnel decisions and playcalling. A great effort wasted.

that was not a fun game. you guys simply amaze me. you are so used to losing that you think a close loss is really fun and exciting.

al close loss is a loss.

make sure you come to houston so you can have another great time. get those tulsa tickets too. you will be so pleased with the outcomes and how our guys tried so hard and almost won.

jj didn't seem like he was very happy in the post game interview. he is not pleased with our qb play. hitting less than 50% is not acceptable. he felt like we squandered some chances in the first half that would come back to bite us. prophetic. he did feel the d played pretty well. also said that losing phleps was devastating in the second half.

when you guys stop accepting deafeat in such a ho hum manner smu will be better off.

enjoy your new ponies. they looked real cute.

Nacho, please keep in mind that this original post was talking about just from a football game standpoint and not from an SMU standpoint. If you were a neutral third party and watched the game, you would have come away from it saying it was a good college football game to watch.

It's called separating SMU from just the caliber of game you watched. That's all where this was going.

Of course, if you were there, I think you would have come away thinking you just watched a good game.

I think the problem is that so many SMU fans are so embittered about the program -- present company included -- and that if it isn't a win, it stinks, that they overlook the caliber of game they watched. They can't separate it.

This was a darn good game to watch.

glad they didn't have hot chocolate so i didn't have to pay 4 bucks to pour some hot water on the mix.

Nacho, my kid went to fetch some hot chocolate and came back empty handed. Not more than a minute later there is a vendor in the stands selling Lemon Chills. Genius! Agree that the whole affair was nothing new, been there, seen that 50 times. Losing in meltdown fashion again ruined what could have been a fine night for SMU.

Then you should have left with all the other fair weather fans.

We should have won, but I doubt you thought it would even be close based on last year's game and the way Navy has played this year. See the game for what it was.

I saw no fewer than three hawkers who were sold out of lemon chills.

If folks bring their kids, please make them behave. Probably too much to ask, but my gosh, the kids in my section are running around, kicking people in the back, while mommy and daddy stand up only to ask the 4 year old if he wants another pizza.

I'm not against having kids at the game, but how about keeping the kids under control, please?

Nice post general! I like it when you’re assertive in an encouraging manner. It makes this a place you want to come to and read / communicate for entertainment value, rather than getting clubbed like a baby seal.
