Unless you've been in the huddle, who are you to say that anyone has problems with route running. He's never had problems with route running. Don't believe everything you read

I thought the second of those drops was a tipped ball but still it was in his hands.

I have to disagree with the announcers blaming Sanders for dropping two balls when he was laid out to catch it but it was still off his finger tips.

Right there were most definitely some drops but some labeled as drops would have been miraculous catches

Where were Cole Loftin and Cole Beasley? The starters had a horrible day. It happens. Wouldn't have hurt to at least give them a few reps. Since June is so in love with the homerun ball, unfortunately these guys (and Haynes, too) can't quite stretch the field like 24, 17 and 18. However, they are solid possession guys. When we needed to sustain a few drives and stay on the field, they could have been an asset.

Haynes has actually been lining up as a TE. He's big enough to be a blocker and can sneak out to make a catch as well. Again, he might not stretch the field the way the other guys can, but he can certainly be the "safety valve" guy and get 5 or 6 yards per catch. I'm totally fine with that.

Don't disagree with the theory - at all.

Only thought on this is if those two can help us win a game on special teams or by filling in at safety, that is fine. Not likely, but one extra game sends us to a bowl.

Plus, those freshmen that have been busting it since July 1 would welcome the chance to play. Even if it meant giving up a year. Lots of depth in the secondary. I am sure they would take snaps when they could without knowing what will happen the next 4 years.

Again, not disagreeing with your position at all. Just a different angle.

Sure looked like he was more concerned about his health, than catching the ball.

You don't really think a receiver is running down the field with the ball in the air consciously thinking "I dont think I'll catch this one because of my feeling towards the guy who passed it."

No, what Im saying is maybe the ball comes out a little different when Bo throws it vs when Padron does.

Also, for Haynes to be such a big wr why does he tend to catch the ball with his body as opposed to away from his body with his hands. I have seen him drop some balls as well.

Padron seems to have better spin on the ball. He throws a good catchable ball.

DavidPaul123,
You must have not been paying attention to the color analysis. He said the recievers were not use to the different rotation of the ball fromt he different quartbacks. Quite frankly I think that is a load of crap. This guy was making pretty outrageous comments all night long, but I think that might have been one of the worst ones.

No, I was at the game so I never heard that. Thanks for the insight! The thing was the drops were occuring when Bo was at QB, which if his comments were true, they should be used to Bo's passes. Still wondering if Kyle throws a better ball or not. Something to watch for in the future.

June Jones addressed the drops a little this morning after practice. He compared it to golfers who simply lose the touch on their short game or tee shots .... said the guys have to "just work through it" by running more routes and catching more passes. He said he remains confident in the WRs' ability, and basically chalked it up to being "one of those days" on which passes are dropped, etc.

Huh? Regardless of whether you think BLM is a star-in-waiting or a sub-in-waiting, he throws a pretty nice pass. Very good arm, good mechanics. Last I checked, his passes "spin" pretty nicely, too. :D
