This is a big game. We play a long time rival that has a history of beating us of late. We have some folks injured and post season possibilities are on the line.

We should be in a better position to beat this team but it wouldn't be the first time we found a way to find crushing defeat. I too am worried but hopefully we are healthy enough to make this game a win and have the mental toughness to put this team away.

The only thing we have to fear is fear itself -- Franklin Roosevelt.

I would be scared if one of my girls was diagnosed with a terrible disease.

I think using the word scared as it relates to a college football game is a bit over the top.

You can be a nervous or unsure. Scared? I don't think so.

General I believe he was talking figuratively, not literally. Nobody is laying in bed with the covers pulled over their head shivering in fear at the prospect of the little Mustangs playing Rice this week.

Did you really misapprehend the meaning by this much, or are you just fishing for an argument?

Semantics aside, I am always scared/concerned/alarmed/afraid/anxious/apprehensive anytime you play a winless team late in the season. It is difficult to lose every single game - at some point over a 12 game season, a team usually gets some breaks and the ball bounces their way. Add to the fact that history is not on our side when we go into a game as a favorite.

Agreed. We can't take anyone for granted. How many times have we had "sure wins" that resulted in a heart-breaking loss? Go Mustangs.

McNeal on the sidelines for practice this week and at least one O lineman out for the game. We are thin at O lineman and can ill afford to lost O lineman and our best running back. The receivers really have to catch the ball this week. It will be up to the receivers to step up and provide some offensive relief for the rest of the unit.

Make all catches and score early and often to help out our O line and running back postion.
