Again, Unbelievable. The coaches/players and their families deserve the best they can achieve. So many SMU fans still don't get it. Most fans of teams would be overjoyed to have this oppotunity. Let's see Hawaii or Fort Worth, Hawaii or Houston, Hawaii or Shreveport. Since the team has received so little support except from a few loyal fans, I would not have the fan's wishes at the top of my wish list when picking a bowl. Let them get on board and show the support and that they will travel well and then let's talk about where we as fans would like to go. TEAM FIRST, me second!
I would be happy with any bowl, you are right...all I am saying is that I don't want June "the manipulator" Jones getting in Orsini's ear and keeping us from the Liberty Bowl IF we somehow win the championship... The Liberty Bowl is the goal for the C-USA..just like the Cotton Bowl was for the SWC....you win the championship, you go play in it....

$4000? How many people are you intending on taking? RT airfare is around $700.
Someone said they looked at RT airfare and it priced out to around $1,700. That sounded high, but that's what I based it on, plus hotels, meals, etc. So maybe $2-3K. I guess I could use hotel points as well, so maybe $1,500. Hmm, maybe I can go.....

also for less than a grand you can fly into OGG, then connect to Honolulu. Make it along connection and make the most of your trip
I will not make age an issue in this campaign. I'm not going to exploit for political purposes my opponent's youth and inexperience.

I assume the Mustang Club would also offer a nice package.

I have played in Hawaii, and believe me when I tell you it's overrated. Let's play over here that way everyone that has been loyal fans for so many years can go to the game. Let's win out and have Tulsa beat UH. Liberty here we come.

I agree. I want our players to go to Hawaii, not Fort Worth! Think about guys like Emmanual who have been losing for 4 straight years until now! Think about the true Juniors and redshirt sophmores who went 2-22 up until the year! These guys deserve to go to Hawaii this year. I told my parents that if SMU goes to Hawaii dont get my anything for x-mas but a RT ticket!!

I'm trying to be realistic and wait until we get bowl eligible. However, one small hurdle exists....telling my daughter's mom that on my Christmas visit with my daughter, the two of us will be going to Hawaii.
How to do that without looking selfish? One thing working for me is my daughter went with her mom, stepdad and other siblings to Hawaii last spring break..suggestions? anyone?

Is there any legal reason you have to tell her at all?
