Hey, the media does a good job to incite panic. Their headlines are the first step. Got everybody's attention including. And then when you read the note, you realize it's not as big a deal as first thought. But some of you still bought it.

Your first post said that it was "unbelievable PANIC by some of our fans." Rather than admit you were wrong you are now saying that JJ manipulated the media, who is trying to incite panic, and that some of us bought it? Who bought it?

It is ok to admit you did not realize that was a quote of the headline.

You asked me to explain where the PANIC was and I did so in the second post. And in that second post, I talked about Jones' media manipulation.

Just accept the fact that Jones likely played this up, the media took it and ran with it and thus, the stir was created.

I am not wrong about this. Not even close to being wrong about this.

You have provided no examples of SMU fans panicking that you mentioned in your first post. None.

"I hope he heals by tomorrow." Um, you can play through soreness.

Alex talked about every OL starter going through an injury (I can't remember if Beacham had one in September or October or in fall camp).

But let's focus on this alleged injury. For starters and closers, this is not an injury.

I guess your definition of panic and mine differ. That's fine. But I'll let you sweat it out for me over Beacham's "injury''.

You can almost hear the quiver in his voice! That's some real panic there.

Our fans panic way too much.

It's ridiculous. Some of you are freaking out about "What if we lose to Rice" and "Rice is confident". As we speak, some of you may be breaking into the song, "Nobody knows the trouble I see. Nobody knows my sorrow.''

Next thing you know some of you will start singing the Roy Orbison classic,

okay, general...directing you to the following quote from JJ's twitter:

"injuries are starting to pile up...hope we can survive them....really thin in O-line but we will try...guys playing hurt and now some out.."

so, did you fire something back at coach, mocking him for panicking?
I will not make age an issue in this campaign. I'm not going to exploit for political purposes my opponent's youth and inexperience.

Airliner about to crash!

Passengers certain to die!

Airline negligent!

There's a sale at Penny's!

June: Injuries are starting to pile up.
GSP: Get in line, June. You're just like the other 117 Division I teams this deep into the season.

June: Hope we can survive them
GSP: June, I'm going to probably put in stock that you already have a plan in place to handle where you're at with those from a rotation, PT and training perspective.

June: Really thin in O-line but we will try..
GSP: I don't doubt the thin nature here. We will try? What happens if we don't try?

June: Guys playing hurt and now some out..
GSP: I would refer you to the first comment where every team has people playing hurt. As for those who are out, you pick up and move. You don't think about what you don't have. You think about and do your best with what you do have. Lamenting never solved anything.

BTW, I don't twitter. Don't believe in it.

LOL...I hear what the General is saying as you do read too many posts of being afraid of Rice etc so I understand what he is saying about panic as a theme....hey if we get beat by Rice we have no business even talking about bowl games. And yes soreness is different for tennis players and football players as being sore from football usually means something alot more than just 'soreness'....
