I shook Evan's hand at the TCU game. I am disappointed he left the team.

Thanks, you've always been so supportive of Evan and we appreciate it. I won't lie, it breaks my heart that Evan is leaving but I must support his decision and let him learn to become a man. But ya know, if he did want to stay I would be very happy. Again, thanks for your support.

Mrs. H, could you explain why he decided to leave the program? I might have missed it the first time it was reported. I know I read some potential explanations but those didn't seem to hold much water. Was it the grades, the demands of the coaching staff, or something else? I hate to see him go because he seemed to have a lot of potential!

Ponymon, I have promised Evan that I will not discuss it here and I will stand by my promise. I can say this, it was not grades, the team, the coaches or him not making second string. Evan has the support of his team and coaches and will support them always.

Life after football is much more important than the game. Just pray he finds the proper path (and be in the background for support and guidance when needed) and he will be fine.

At the SFA game with Evan on the sideline with that hair and facepaint ... wow that was great. He looked too mean for the team! Wish he was still down there. Good luck to him in the future!
