This will be great for recruiting in the 2011 class. Nice turnaround. From 1-11 to what we are now. Nice job coaching staff (no matter what sour grapes mr pony says). The drama was in getting the six wins because all the wins were close games. Looking forward to the bowl game because the players deserve it.

some of you guys have no idea how much pull JJ has... He will almost guarantee his players a look in hte NFL, where as bennet couldnt muster up anything.... He will get SMU to play in the Hawaii bowl where as, if bennet were still coach the Hawaii bowl would pass on SMU... Hell the reason Sungod is at SMU is because he has mad respect for JJ and IS a JJ guy... dont underestimate how much influence this man has... not to mention his incredible ability to identify talent where most see nothing... He basically told Colt Brennan that he should walk on and earn his scholarship and that if he chose to go to any other school hes not the QB he taught he was... well Colt Brennan i guess taught he was the man so he took JJ up on his offer and the rest is history...

Padron reminds me a lot of Brennan...

The Hawaii Bowl is the best thing for this SMU program right now. All that conference championship talk was fun but this team isn't ready for that yet and would likely have been slaughtered versus whatever SEC team they faced in the Liberty Bowl. It would be great to send the seniors out with a trip to Hawaii and play in a bowl game they actually have a shot of winning. Good to see it has pretty much been locked up sans the formal invite.
