I have a couple of numbers to places that rent Shetlands in Hawaii. Naturally they rent them primarily for rides at kids parties...once everyone over there wakes up, I'm gonna call till I find one that says they have a pony that can make it up and down the football field a few times, and will let SMU dress him/her/it up. Then I'll post the info, and the Peruna folks can take it from there.

I think it would be kick [deleted] to have Peruna, the Mustangs, and the band and cheerleaders. If they don't make it, I'll take pictures.

I wonder if it is easier or harder or the same to take over an animal that is not "sterile." That may make it easier for the "Mustangs" and harder for "Peruna." If it made a difference, I am pretty sure that is one sacrifice Peruna is not willing to make.
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

If you rent a pony, who is going to run it?

Maybe RGV Pony and Mestengo should be the guys to run Peruna at the Bowl......would be fun to watch and show great spirit.

I guess the pro Peruna faction will need to come up with a solution on that one.

As one of the Peruna netroots...I do not think Peruna should make the trip as I am concerned about his health. First he is 17+ years old and sedation would not be good thing. Second, my understanding is that the air industry requires a waiver that if the horse becomes unruly, they have the right to put the animal down. It is also my understading that his keeper/trainer cannot make the trip and I believe that would be too heavy a responsibility for the handlers.

Furthermore, I DO NOT WANT A FAKE PERUNA FROM HAWAII TAKING PERUNA'S PLACE. It's just like the geldings, they are not the mascot and there is only Peruna. (enuff said).

For a long time, I have thought about getting a farm for a second home and if I did, I would put a shetland on it to pasture and call the horse Peruna East and take him to SMU games when they come this far east (Navy, ECU, Marshall). But, I've never bought the farm. Incidentally, Falls Church High School is also the Mustangs (so I could train a few of their kids to be the handlers) and let Peruna East do double duty.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna

Last I heard is concern about Peruna having to go out the 22nd/return the 27th, getting sedated, having to spend time in L.A. on the way back, doing all this without his rancher and whether putting him through all this would be humane treatment. I doubt he'll be going, but perhaps the student who wears the Peruna costume could go instead as our mascot.
