about whether we lose or win the game in Hawaii. This is in contrast to the "Live or Die" attitude I have always felt about SMU football. I think the reason is I am so proud of our Mustangs, and so pleased that we are going to a bowl, finally, that actually winning the game, while nice, and something I certainly hope for, pales in light of what the team has accomplished.

Certainly, next year, and each succeeding year thereafter, when we have become used to going to bowls, I will be back in my old "Win or Die" attitude. But right now, I am in a blissful state of "We have finally arrived"...winning the game is just iceing on the cake.

I believe that you and I share this sentiment right now.... but - I can tell you this, my feelings on gameday will likely be very different.

I'm worried because several of the current year W's could easily have gone the other way. It's true that some of the L's could have as well, but we need to try to put teams away earlier in the game. Another year under their belts could help give our guys that killer mentality along with the knowledge that they can win the games they need to.

But I'd still like a bowl win. Couldn't hurt.

Wolfpack will kill us by 20 pts or more which would not be too fun. They did a nice job against Boise.
