[quote="Phxfan] JJ does not really care that much about the Liberty Bowl per his insistence to go to Hawaii no matter where SMU finished. ...[quote]

The Liberty Bowl is for C-USA's champs. They have a contract. Whether Jones "cares that much about" it is not the point. To have turned it down as champs would have been wrong for SMU.

I am thrilled it turned out the way it did too, but my opposition to our publicly dissing the Liberty Bowl was not "wrong."

Cheers and GO MUSTANGS!

I never said it was wrong. It was right. So lets go to a BCS bowl net year. SMU needs to get out of CSA. The BCS needs to end. Not sure what you are saying. Lets have a BCS bowl next year, and the National Championship the next.

I think that has something to do with the cryptic statement JJ made. SO. If I am crazy so is JJ. Pretty good company of JJ and the rest of the SMU team.

Just don't go to Guyana.

Love the enthusiasm, but reality is next year a still young SMU plays at Texas Tech, at Navy, and we also have to play TCU. The odds of SMU "running the table" would be astronomical. The record next year could be about the same as this year, which is not bad at all.

We could argue this for a year. A couple or even one break, could do it. The TT thing is a big question. I hope you folks will get up there. TCU is ours, we played them till the 3rd Q, Navy can be stopped, almost won. The thing that SMU might get hurt on is the Tulsas, UTPS, etc. If SMU can handle the little games, they will be OK.

The place you make the mistake is psychological part. Really the biggest part. I don't claim to be the best prognosicator. A WIN at TT will tell this team and the fans, we can go to the top. A win at TT, and there is no stopping SMU. Get the band and your fans there. OK
