hey guys i got a question... here at hawaii we get some decent recruits who unfortunately always become non qualifiers... does SMU have that same problem? and what are the schools entry requirements? and does the university make exceptions on the entry requirement for athletes??

traditionally it hasn't mattered because non-qualifiers had to pay their own way and few could afford the 40,000+ tuition-but NCAA may have changed that rule so that non-qualifiers can receive some kind of aid-maybe its Pell Grants-not sure but I seem to remember some change in last year or so.. But I doubt SMU would allow them anyway. We had 6 high schools recruits fail to qualify last year and they all went the JUCO route.
