GREAT luncheon. Coach Jones was funny and insightful, as always, and the highlights he showed brought back the chills I enjoyed on my trip to Hawaii. That game was the greatest time I've ever had watching SMU football, and I felt it all over again.

The expanded version of the TV show Thadfilms and his gang put together was awesome, too — included Hawaii shots. Great job.

Can't wait for spring ball and two-a-days.

GO MUSTANGS!

Thanks! It was pretty cool of June to want to show it and include it in today's lineup. Probably the biggest crowd I've ever had for a "premiere". I couldn't believe how many people stayed for it! Thanks so much to all of you that were there.

Thank you, I appreciate it.

We just got lucky... I mean the path I went down was totally weird to get to having a show. Making a doc on the death penalty and then June Jones starts giving me more and more access, and I'm thinking I have no idea what we are going to do with this stuff, but this is just cool, let's keep shooting.

And then the team wins, and wins, and wins some more, and still I have no idea what we're going to do with all of this footage, but why not? Then Tribune Broadcasting gets hold of my trailer... and then there you go, they want us to put together a show using the footage we have been shooting of the season for their local affiliate. We do it. And the rest is history...

Of course after the bowl win... we had to go back and include the game!

Anyway there might be other projects that come out of the footage we shot, who knows? There's not going to be too terribly much of it in Article 19, with the thrust still very much on the DP.... we'll see.

Would be great for something similar to 30 for 30 on ESPN.

Hey Thad that was pure greatness and enjoyed all of it. I had to wipe my eyes a few times during the film...you really captured the season well. Is it on youtube?
(I hope you get to work on the Doak film btw)

As you have asked this.... and basically everybody there asked me about purchasing a copy or whatnot, here is my answer....

I am currently looking into whether I can sell this thing, specific NCAA rules on not profiting on student athletes (don't get me started on the whole "of course you can profit on student athletes - ticket sales, conference television contracts", etc. argument). Anyway, it's my bailiwick and now I have to wade through the quagmire.

If I can sell it, I will. At the bookstore. I'm not trying to get rich off of it, I just want to find a way to pay back the folks who believed in me and the larger Article 19 documentary from the get go.

If I can't sell an All Grit DVD then I want to see if I can't figure out a way that I can "gift" it to the Mustang Club so they can offer it as yet another perk for joining/upping your donation. This is again, because I am not trying to get rich off this (if I can make a little bread that's great, but that was never the point) and it would be a cool way to again give back to the university.

Go Ponies. Oh and, can't tell you when.... but soon there will be an update on the status of Article 19.
