Well played, EastStang.
I live really close to UTA, and went last year when SMU's track team competed in a meet there. Had an absolute blast. Really wish we had a suitable track on campus to host events, because that was a hell of a good time.
I've never been much of a tennis guy, but with the way tennis is kicking butt this year, I plan to get over to see a match this year, too.

And of course spring football and soccer. I'll make a deal with you Deepellum. When TCU takes up men's soccer as a competitive (not club) sport, we'll take up baseball (and softball plus a minor women's sport like bowling or archery).
Now you got me curious ,EastStang. Saw us at #7 and SMU under others recieving votes in men's golf. No luck for either of us in the womens poll. In tennis, neither of us made the top 25 in mens or womens, although our women just dropped out of the poll. Like the bowling and archery, but you know what you really need? Equestrian. That is the minor-est of the minor. Didn't see you in the final mens soccer poll this year either, but do remember back when I was in school, you having soccer as your Homecoming. Didn't like you guys as much then, since you kicked our [deleted] so much. So it was good comedy.

spring is when we all boost our post counts so that come the fall when new people join the message board, we can all belittle them.
Ok this is getting ridiculous...I agree with Dutch on THIS ONE POST by him totally

Soccer team has had two down years. Hopefully, they'll pick it up this year. If you look at the Other Sports Board on this, you'll see the venom over that particular issue. We had another great recruiting class in soccer (which is partly because we are the only Division 1 team in Texas in Men's Soccer). Tennis and Golf tend to be in the hunt by year's end. Already have Equestrian. So we'd have to add another 1/2 sport to equalize if we added baseball. Softball wouldn't cover it enough. The problem is Title IX for all of us. To add baseball, you'd need what 10 scholarship players at least to be competitive which means 14 in softball or other women's sports. That's why its tough to add men's sports for both of us. 25 scholarships at $40,000 per student is real money- $2,000,000 plus coaches, plus travel, plus equipment, plus trainers, plus facilities. That means to be competitive, you need an endowment of $40,000,000 for the scholarships. Plus another $1 million for the rest of the stuff, plus another $30-40,000,000 for a world class baseball/softball facility.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna

women's golf.
I wish we had baseball. It has so much potential-build a nice quaint ballpark east of Central; have day game businessman's special; view of downtown from the bleachers; maybe even sell beer. You could really sell the atmosphere. Alas, that ship sailed in the 80's when college baseball was an afterthought.
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Easy, SMU Men's Lacrosse, the fastest game on two feet. Our team is quite good and could win the Lone Star Conference and go to Nationals. Wish it were a varisty program.

I will third it. Anyone who suggests rowing, or equestrian, or some other "spring sport" like that...I mean really? Yes, they are varsity sports, yes we all want them to do well, but in all seriousness after Men's Basketball falls out of contention (early January), we have nothing here to watch.
