We will never see Texas at Ford. I don't think any mustang fan would want to see that anyways...it would be 80% burnt orange

Better than the 95% burnt orange it will be when we play them at the Cotton Bowl in 2038.

There should be legislative action requiring them to play all D1 schools in Texas on a rotating basis in football and maybe even basketball. Too much money is going to other schools out of state when it is much-needed by the cash-strapped in-state schools. Why should the Arkansas States and UL Lafayettes get the million dollar paydays? Especially with UT, so many people are fans of their own school but also like to cheer for the Horns and their roster of the best of Texas High School football when they play Alabama, USC, Oklahoma etc. I think most Texans who are true fans are proud of all the Texas programs when they do well and play by the rules. Although rivals, nothing wrong with pulling for each other when we play out-of-state schools.

Until the Big XII changes the Texas-OU game to a home and home, UT has no incentive to play us. They come to Dallas every year why should they come to town twice? If they ever play in Jerry World, there is no doubt in my mind that they will be playing the Hogs. Jerry Jones wants that match-up in his playpen.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna

New Mexico's legislature did that in basketball. The Lobos & Aggies are each required to play one of the D-2 schools each year.

They have talked here about getting the Arkansas legislature to force UA to play Arkansas State. Problem is any politician that votes to do that will never be elected again. UA alumni/fan/votng base is too powerful to let it happen. Do not think Texas could be forced to do it either.

They might have played us a few years ago, but now that we would have a legitimate chance of beating them there is no way they would risk scheduling us.

[quote] Houston had a series with UT going on until Houston's Athletic Department really messed up the last game that UT played vs. Houston in Houston...those temporary bleachers that were unsafe and set up by Houston against several recommendations were such a mess! Rice is the beneficiary from Houston's mistake, but it is not correct to say that Houston did not have their chance.[quote]

You are correct sir. I forgot that UT did play UH at one point.
