They should add Fresno State as well. That would be a very nice little football conference that would be fun to watch. Mid Majors With Attitudes. MMWA

Agreed. BSU is a minor risk for the MWC. There recruiting classes compare unfavourably to the likes of SMU, TCU, Utah, BYU, and about 70 other colleges. I'm not bagging on them, because their coaches do a great job in development. How long will it last though, especially if they loose a coach or two? BSU is only a small risk for the MWC because even if they fall, they won't sink as deep as half the teams in the MWC including New Mexico, UNLV, SDSU, Colorado State or Wyoming.

bsu has won 2 bcs games. The first one their highest 5-year rivals rating was in the 90s

they haven't lost to a mwc team in years

I don't think they are a risk to the mwc

I don't think the big east can have a bcs bid if they lose a team
they need 8

WAC is not getting any better and BSU can go undefeated most years in conference and if they schedule OOC the right way they will always be in the hunt for a BCS bowl. In the MWC they will be playing TCU, UTAH, BYU, and AIR FORCE every year. Lots of chances to lose. That is if the MWC doesn't lose anyone. AQ status or not, less likely to go undefeated.

I would suggest that BSU is making the change not to increase or maintain the odds of their going to a BSC bowl, but in order to create the possibility that they could compete for a National Championship. As an AQ, an undefeated MWC team could have a shot at the NC Game, whereas currently (and as indicated with this years Fiesta Bowl paring) that's never going to happen.

They are trying to move beyond "top 25." They want "Top 1" and are being proactive to get there.

If they go undefeated this year, they will most likely be in the NC game. They will start out being ranked in the top 3.
When will I start feeling stimulated??

The only way that happens in my opinion is if they both 1. Go undefeated and 2. There aren't 2 AQ undefeated teams. And even then I think they could easily get pushed aside by a 1 loss SEC team. Getting out of the WAC and into a AQ MWC would change that in my opinion.
