Re: Who Will Be 2010's Most Improved Player?I'm a little surprised by all the Beasley pub. He was a solid contributor last year; do y'all really think he's going to take that next step? Be kind of cool if true.
I like the Darius Johnson posts. He showed flashes of greatness before the injury. He's my pick on offense.
Re: Who Will Be 2010's Most Improved Player?Offense - Haynes
Defense - Moore

Moore was already quite solid last year. I'd rather see someone else make huge strides and Moore to play at a slightly higher level. If Hunt were to make a giant leap forward, he'd be damn near unstoppable. I'd like to see Haynes, especially with TWilk gone for the year. Or even DJ. Beasley is coming off a solid year as well, so I don't know that he'll take a huge step up. I think there's already the expectation that he's going to be more involved. Derail the Frogs!
Re: Who Will Be 2010's Most Improved Player? You know, I hadn't really thought of it that way.

Re: Who Will Be 2010's Most Improved Player?Margus Hunt
As fun as he was to watch last year, he really had little idea what he was doing out there. As he gets more comfortable with the game, the sky is the limit for that guy.
Re: Who Will Be 2010's Most Improved Player? It must be Padron in order for us to come close to last season's record. Despite his progress and accomplishments last year, he still made a low percentage of his reads for the best possible result: however, his level was fairly high in the Nevada game. JJ looks at reads basically in 4 parts. Worst read is to totally miss the read and either suffer an interception, miss the pass or have a very low percent chance of completion/success. The next level is to end up throwing to the 3d best play option which means a fairly low percentage chance of completion and minimal yardage. Obviously, the second best read is for a completion and limited but totally acceptable positive yardage. The best read is for the hightest chance of completion and chance for long yardage. These reads are all based on keys in the defense which dictates which pass should be thrown. Last season too many of his reads were still 3d options. This season we need a high percentage of 1st and 2d option reads for the team to be competitive.
Re: Who Will Be 2010's Most Improved Player?Taylor Reed
Re: Who Will Be 2010's Most Improved Player? How are these predictions looking so far? I like my Margus Hunt pick.
Re: Who Will Be 2010's Most Improved Player?I think Zach Line is hands down most improved...
Re: Who Will Be 2010's Most Improved Player? Most improved on defense is Jagared Davis-watching the replay yesterday he was even more impressive. Second would probably be Taylor Reed.

Re: Who Will Be 2010's Most Improved Player?JG Davis is a monster out there, but I thought he was pretty impressive last year. For most improved I would give it to Margus on defense. He seemed a little reluctant to engage and help finish in a tackle at the Tech game. He looks more comfortable in there every game and was really feeling it against WSU. On offense, I would give it to D Johnson. Good hands, speed, and can be elusive and hard to get a clean hit on.
Honorable mention would have to go to the student section. It was a little smaller this game, but it was hotter than Hades in the stands. They were also in the sun the whole game on the east side.
Re: Who Will Be 2010's Most Improved Player?Through three games, I'd say Margus Hunt and Ja'Gared Davis.
