Division II has a higher SAT requirement(820), lower GPA(2.0-no sliding scale) and lower core requirements

Ah. to play Div 1 you would need a 2.5 gpa with an 820. the sliding scale makes some sense but i think it slides down WAY too far.

kevin durant played for one year at ut and then had his number retired. they celebrated the fact that he was there for only one year simply because he is a very good player. clearly we are on a different field. i'm not saying this bad. i'm not in favor of these one and done players. kentucky is full of them. they cheapen college sports.

This will probably end up like the basketball player who Pye would not admit who became all-world. Believe his name was Larry Johnson.

Heard Darryl is headed to Tennessee. Anyone know if this is true?

Wherever you end up, Darryl, I'm pulling for you. Best of luck in the future.

I see Blind Side 2...Jackson goes to tenn...becomes Hall of fame tackle...They film movie about kid who didn't start playing until Junior year, had committed to SMU but they told him he was to dumb to play...goes to Tenn becomes all world and opens his own restaurant chain worth billions...donates huge sums to tenn...

Should be a good movie...Who would play Turner...Mel gibson?

When you get to a position where you have no check and balance, no one to report to, you really lose your sense of reality, don't you?

My understanding is that the Board of Trustees is the checks and balances to whom Turner must answer.
