It's strange to see outsiders more optimistic than most of us are...I guess that's what 20 years of misery will do for you.

I think we win straight up too.

I think it's more a function of outsiders looks at our W/L record last year and assuming we'll do the same or better this year. That and watching the bowl game and seeing how the Ponies dismantled Nevada.
Anyways, to add on to what Stallion said, UH, Tulsa, at UTEP are all highly explosive offenses, and while you might say the edge goes to one team or another, those shootouts are usually decided by a couple of plays -- good or bad.
One thing that struck me about last season is that how after 20 years, all the bad karma seemed to swing 180 degrees in the other direction. The ball always used to bounce the other team's way, or a ref would always make a questionable call favor the other team. Whereas last year, it seemed like we got most of the breaks.
I'm a firm believer that people make their own luck, but looking back over last season, we sure did seem to manage a W in close games that we would have lost in the past.

Zero - gambling is for chumps. The difference between winning and losing is 1 point

He is challenging your opinion to a monetary amount based on the numbers. You have made it clear that you’re all mouth.

I love how gamblers think they are so cool. Yeah!!!!!!!!!! I won because my team only lost by 10. You aren't a true fan if you give a [deleted] how much you're team lost by.

I don’t habitually gamble. Yet on occasion if I know the facts, and I feel I could make a bet with 100% certainty I’m going to pull the trigger.
If a man calls you out, you play, fold, or shut the [deleted] up.
