they make one BCS bowl and it's worth it. If they get an in w/ an at large for finishing in top 9, imagine them in the Fiesta Bowl and all the $ goes home with them

How things change. Last season the MWC is looking like world beaters. Today, one wonders about its future. We win and do well this season, who knows what opportunities present themselves for us.

They are going to stay in a conference that is getting weaker and go undefeated in conference just about every year and brag about it. Also, with an easier conference it will make it easier to go undefeated and get invited to a BCS game.

BYU is one of the few non-BCS programs that can pack in 60k for every home game (actually the ONLY one I can think of)...and they can provide ESPN with a "late game" for it's Saturday lineup, so if the WAC is willing to take on these terms, this makes sense.
If both Utah and BYU are out, I assume the WAC and MWC merge and TCU wants back into CUSA. I also assume CUSA would welcome them back, but CUSA would need a 14th team for balance. Who is that? Or..maybe Memphis buys into the Big East and Tulane shifts to the east and CUSA stays at 12?
La Tech back to the SunBelt?
