Thanks for the heads up......I hadn't heard this in my area. We might have to go to a friend's house who has Dish...my household couldn't get by w/out ESPN.

I switched from Comcast to Dish 4 months ago and haven't looked back. I switched because of awful customer service and periodic service issues. I had TWC when I was still a student at SMU and would have switched to Dish had I not lived in an apartment that was covered by an overhanging tree blocking the line of sight for a satellite dish. I experienced the same customer service issues with TWC as I did with Comcast here in Atlanta. As a whole, cable providers rank in the basement as far as customer service and satisfaction are concerned. I still get calls from Comcast trying to get me to "upgrade" my services with them when I haven't had service through them for more than 4 months!
Those who complain about a problem are simply wasting time they could use to fix it.

Dumping TWC for direct tv was the best choice ever

It would be financial suicide for Time Warner Cable to allow its contract with the ESPN networks to expire at the start of football season, wouldn't it?
I just can't believe TWC will allow this to happen, but who knows....

I don't understand how cable companes get themselves into this position. They are just driving people to the competition. I am trying to think of anyone I know that has gone from cable to dish and then went back to cable. Years ago, I wanted DirecTV and my wife didn't, but then my cable provider dropped Food Network and my wife demanded that I "fix it." DirecTV within a week and never called a cable company again. I did move to U-Verse, but that is still "not cable." I can't imagine ever going back to TW.
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Many will remember something similar with Direct Tv a while back. Happens pretty frequently. Anyway, was listening to KVIL this morning (I know, I know dont make fun) and they ran this commercial saying the above. Only, they added in: If you're a Mustang fan, please know that espn will ot be runnong on Time Warner after Sep 2nd. So you will miss the opening game of the season on Sep 5th on ESPN. I just that was neat that we got a mention there.

Hey Dutch...will this be a problem for 1st and 10 or do you have other options like Dish Network or something?

DirecTV
Ok this is getting ridiculous...I agree with Dutch on THIS ONE POST by him totally

My assistant went from cable to Dish. Got mad at Dish went back to cable. Realized the error of her ways and is going back to Dish after the 90 day trial period.

Just saw this:

Not very shocked, if true. And I had just seen a bunch of bar napkins at a sports bar on mckinney avenue about this dispute. I thought it was pretty clever guerilla advertising.
